Protected Categories for Authorized Users only
Practical Case: I like to allow only authorized users access my KB. Is it possible? Can I make user accounts for those who can access my KB?
Solution: Yes! You can create user accounts in the knowledge base those can access the private content under protected categories. Generally, a knowledge base software has built-in support for 2 types of categories: Public and Protected. Content like Articles or Questions under Protected Categories cannot be viewed by Public Users. Only special group of members are allowed to access the content under Protected Categories. Knowledge manager can create as many user accounts as he wishes. Employees are allowed to login through a special login section in the knowledge base so that they can view the content published under protected categories.
