How to Love Someone
I once had a friend who grew to be very close to me. Once when we were sitting at the edge of a swimming pool, she filled the palm of her hand with some water and held it before me, and said this:
"You see this water carefully contained on my hand?" It symbolizes Love. "This was how I saw it. As long as you keep your hand caringly open and allow it to remain there, it will always be there. However, if you attempt to close your fingers round it and try to posses it, it will spill through the first cracks it finds."
This is the greatest mistake that people do when they meet love...they try to posses it, they demand, they expect... and just like the water spilling out of your hand, love will retrieve from you.
For love is meant to be free, you cannot change its nature. If there are people you love, allow them to be free beings.
- Give and don’t expect.
- Advise, but don’t order.
- Ask, but never demand.
It might sound simple, but it is a lesson that may take a lifetime to truly practice. It is the secret to true love. To truly practice it, you must sincerely feel no expectations from those who you love, and yet an unconditional caring."
Passing thought: Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take; but by the moments that take our breath away.....
Life is beautiful, Live it !!!
"If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you (without you having to plead and beg), its yours forever. If it doesn’t, then it was never meant to be."
How do you not expect something from someone? If you don’t expect, and always give, what’s to stop people from using you? This is some strange idealization where someone can easily take, and you’ll never receive what you want in turn: Because we all have needs, we all have desires, we ought to not only work on fulfilling another’s desire, but also find someone who is willing to do the same in turn. That is a loving relationship.

Admin Comment: Dear Brother, Whatever you’ve written is true but we are talking about love here not business. Business involves give and take type of relation whereas true love is in giving and not expecting anything in return.
It is really an heart throbbing article which can be very useful in your day to day life.
I fancy Jesus as I have worshiped him for years, i dont know how to show my love but i realy like him and i feel as if he is watching.
I believe that I am deeply in Love with someone but they chose another because they allowed them to be free.
Excellent. I have learned a lot from it. My mind is a lot better; it is an absolute opening to my heart. Can you please add some more?
